Administrative Operation Officer II
This is fulltime permanent position is located in Seward, AK within AVTEC-Alaska’s Institute of Technology, the state’s public postsecondary vocational technical school. The incumbent serves as part of the Division’s three-person management team. Reports to and advises the director on all matters related to the annual budget, revenue, and expenditures. Develops and manages annual budget. Supervises all staff and functions within the Division Business Office including; human resources, staff travel, accounts payable, purchasing, Admissions, student records, students financial aid, and Information Technology Services.
Applicants must demonstrate the following: thorough understanding of standard business accounting practices, including reporting and documentation; mid to upper level budget management experience in private or public employment; excellent computer skills, particularly creating spreadsheets and budget/accounting software; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; experience in managing, supervising and evaluating work of subordinate staff.
