WIA Youth Coordinator/Instructor Position
AVTEC in Seward is seeking a full time permanent WIA Youth Coordinator/Instructor. This individual will provide services to at least 60 eligible youth ages 17-21 to students enrolled in AVTEC’s long-term training programs in Seward and Anchorage campuses and is dedicated to the success of its at risk youth participants in their journey towards meaningful employment in Alaska’s high wage, high demand industries. This individual actively recruits eligible and neediest youth throughout the state for post-secondary training in Alaska’s high wage, high demand occupations. The coordinator travels to high schools across the state and participates in career and job fairs statewide to actively recruit the neediest youth, particularly out-of-school youth, to assist them in overcoming barriers to occupational skills training and entering employment.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, good communication and team building skills.
Qualified candidate that has experience in team sports, coaching, and other activities desirable.
Up to $70K annual dependant upon education, plus State of Alaska employee benefit package.
