11.12.2020 Governor's Emergency Mandate

As many of you  know, Governor Dunleavy triggered the emergency notification system and has issued an additional emergency declaration.  You can listen to it here: https://youtu.be/uwQUnIAjthk

What does this mean for AVTEC on-site Operations?

For the moment, little should change.  On-site classes should continue with the protective measures we have been following all year.  Our current measures align with the new declaration and we have protocols set in the case of outbreaks.  If any changes are warranted staff and students will be updated on any ways that we will need to change.  At that point, the policies and protocols will be distributed to you, posted on the web and signage updated where needed.

For now, continue you good efforts to wear face coverings, stay six feet apart, wash your hands, stay home if you are sick and avoid large gatherings. Here is some information about gathering safely during the upcoming holiday season:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.ht…

AVTEC is preparing our protocols for students to follow when coming back after the Christmas holiday.  Stay tuned for that information which will be distributed and likely posted on this website.
