Do you have housing?

Yes, we do! AVTEC has two Residence Halls and 18 Family Housing Apartments. For more information about AVTEC's Housing click here.

Do you offer childcare?

AVTEC does not offer child care. Child care is limited in Seward. Students should make arrangements for child care and child care assistance prior to arriving in Seward for training. For a list of licensed child care facilities and providers, or for child care assistance information, contact The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services at http://dhss.alaska.gov or The LeeShore Center at (907) 283-4707 or 1-877-855-2227 (toll-free).

How do I pay for my training at AVTEC?

What is the TABE Academy and how do I complete it?

AVTEC requires completion of the TABE Academy, an online course using skill based lessons, to determine individual readiness in math and reading as applied to the greatest success in training.  More information can be found here.

Can I take a tour of the AVTEC Campus?

Currently, we are not conducting In-Person tours due to the Pandemic. We would be happy to meet with you via Zoom to tell you more about AVTEC. You can follow this link to schedule a presentation here. We provide both individual and group presentations.

What days do I attend class?

Students attend class Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Total hours of the days vary from 6 hours to 7.5 hours. Students should check with the instructor for the daily class hours.
