Official Title: Vessel Safety, Fire and Damage Control Training
This is a non-USCG approved course.

This four-hour course is designed to prepare mariners for emergencies on small passenger vessels under 100 gross tons. Topics covered will include causes of marine fires, vessel flooding, emergency flares, and life raft deployment. There will be hands on training with a damage control trainer, fire extinguishers, flares, fire hoses, and life rafts.

The training will be held at the AVTEC Maritime Fire field located at 3505 Jellison Avenue (off Nash Road).
