Tech Skills for the Young Professional
Tech Skills for the Young Professional is a primer for high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring today’s office career opportunities and getting off to the right start. If you are new to computers, keyboarding, and are interested in working in an office setting or learning the tech skills needed for success in postsecondary education, this course is the place to start.
Instructional Delivery Model
This course consists of a minimum of 60 hours of training delivered over 24 scheduled sessions. A session consists of a live 1-hour synchronous video conference (Zoom) followed by 1 to 2 hours of asynchronous/anytime activities. Students will participate in two live Zoom sessions weekly on Tue/Thu (1:30-2:30 pm). A Windows or Mac desktop/laptop computer and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
